Learning Support Programs help students from migrant and refugee backgrounds to thrive.

Learning Support Programs

Across Victoria, CMY’s Learning Beyond the Bell team supports over 365 Learning Support Programs, formerly known as OSHLSPs. These programs provide high quality tuition and learning support to children and young people from migrant and refugee backgrounds, and their families. They also assist families to better support their children’s learning at home.

Sometimes called Homework Clubs, they are actually much broader in their range of activities and methods of support than that term implies. Learning Support Programs cover a range of models including Homework Clubs, Family Learning Clubs and peer-to-peer learning approaches. The programs are focused on both learning and wellbeing outcomes. For those looking to run their own Learning Support Programs, CMY’s Learning Beyond the Bell team can assist in many areas.
